About Megan

Howdy. I grew up on a farm in Ohio and competed on the national Angus circuit in my younger years. I’ve shown $60k heifers and wrangled bulls topping the scales at 2,000 pounds. But I’m a city girl at heart.

The first time I visited Detroit was in 2011. And I knew it was “home.” But I had ambitions of law school, so I stayed in Ohio and worked my way to being the M&A attorney (mergers and acquisitions attorney) for a super fast-paced venture capital practice.

Then Covid happened, and I did the good ol’ Covid shuffle. I followed my heart into real estate - everything from selling homes, to managing portfolios, to rehabbing, to creative finance. And finally, I moved to Detroit. 

And what’s a deal attorney do when she gets to Detroit? She reads the zoning code, of course! “What could go there?” is perpetually on my mind. So, long story short, I read the zoning code, so you don’t have to.

I help my clients make forward-thinking investments in Detroit, and am particularly adept at examining potential for loft conversions, condo developments, upzoning or rezoning, and identifying parking reqs. Not only am I a realtor with my own unique skill sets (being an attorney and zoning expert), but my brokerage is also uniquely positioned to help Detroit families and investors as well.
